100% Elbon rye. Woody Creek buys this rye from Colorado farms and mashes it on its own with Rocky Mountain water, with no corn or barley in the recipe. The distillery says nearly all its ingredients are grown in Colorado within 250 miles of Basalt.

Why it's craft
Woody Creek mashes, distills, ages and bottles this rye at its distillery in Basalt, near Aspen, and says it never uses neutral grain spirits or spirit from other distillers. The mash is entirely Colorado-grown Elbon rye, and the barrels rest at least five years before bottling. The company was founded in 2012 by engineers Pat Scanlan and Mark Kleckner and is family-owned under CEO Mary Scanlan.
