Seth Benhaim founded Broken Barrel in Los Angeles in 2017, after success with Infuse Spirits vodka. He trademarked the Oak Bill: instead of finishing whiskey in intact barrels, he breaks staves from several cask types, including ex-bourbon, French oak, sherry and wine casks. Batched Kentucky straight whiskey is then finished in tanks with those staves. The whiskey is distilled under contract at Owensboro Distilling Co. (Green River) under Master Distiller Jacob Call. The brand's bottle shop and tasting room is at The Infusery in Downtown Los Angeles.
