Brian and Renee Bemis built Driftless Glen in 2014 along the Baraboo River in Wisconsin's Driftless Area, a region the glaciers never covered. The distillery uses basalt-filtered groundwater and local Midwestern grain. A Vendome pot still and a tall column still make all of its whiskey, and it never sources. The bourbon mash bill is 60% corn, 20% rye and 20% malt, and the rye is 75/25; both age in new American oak and are bottled without chill filtration. Its whiskeys have won awards.
