Hinterhaus Distilling in Arnold, California, was founded in 2020 by Nate and Bonnie Randall in the Sierra Nevada. It open-ferments California barley with local mountain water to make American single malt, working with Admiral Maltings. Malt percentages and cooperage details are printed on its Discovery Series bottles.
