The Hirsch name goes back to A.H. Hirsch bourbon from the 1970s. Hotaling & Co. of San Francisco, formerly Anchor Distilling, relaunched it as Hirsch Selected Whiskeys, a house that selects and blends sourced whiskey. Head blender Kevin Aslan and his team print mash bills, ages and batch codes on a grid on the back label. The range runs from Horizon, a blend of MGP whiskey, to Bardstown single barrels and whiskeys finished in Hine Cognac XO casks.
