Joseph A. Magnus was a turn-of-the-century Washington blender whose Murray Hill Club and other labels were widely poured in hotels. The modern Jos. A. Magnus & Co. revives his methods, marrying long-aged straight bourbons with light whiskey. Some releases are finished in wine or cider casks, and blenders including Nancy Fraley have worked on special releases. It is a blending house, not a farm distillery.
