Laphroaig has distilled on Islay's south coast since the early 19th century and is now part of Suntory Global Spirits. The house is famous for cold-smoking malted barley over peat, floor malting facing the sea, and slow copper-pot distillation. The 10 Year Old flagship bottles that medicinal, maritime peat profile with a surprising sweetness from American oak ex-bourbon casks.
