Saskatoon grain-to-glass experiments — lentil and quinoa whiskies beside a Distiller's Blend

Stumbletown Distilling grew out of founder Craig Holland's post-layoff vow to build something of his own in Saskatoon. Work on the craft distillery began in 2016, with purple-wheat vodka and gin arriving first. The whisky program then leaned into Saskatchewan staples: red lentils from near Holland's hometown of Hanley and prairie quinoa, each mashed with barley and aged in virgin oak. The tasting room shares a roof with City Limits Brewing at 20-1905 Quebec Avenue and pours Lentil, Quinoa, Distiller's Blend and a Triple Barrel flight. The shop sells the Distiller's Blend and Quinoa bottles when stock allows.
