Vermont Spirits Distilling Co. in Quechee, Vermont, has distilled small-batch spirits since 1999 on the banks of the Ottauquechee River. The house is best known for Vermont Gold vodka from early-run maple sap and for No. 14 Bourbon — a high-corn bourbon aged in new American oak and finished with a light touch of pure Vermont maple, bottled at 90 proof and named for Vermont as the 14th state.
