Why it's craft
2XO is a blender's brand. Dixon Dedman does not distill; he selects Kentucky straight bourbon from a distillery partner and gives it extra oak contact. In the Oak Series he does that by putting chains of charred American oak into the barrels before bottling, where the Gem of Kentucky releases move finished bourbon into a second new charred barrel. This bottle's bourbon is sourced from a single undisclosed distillery, and the brand is brought to market by Prestige Beverage Group of Louisville.
