Why it's craft
Kadhambam means 'mixture' in Tamil, and the whisky is one: peated and unpeated Amrut malts aged in oloroso sherry casks and then in casks that had held Amrut's own brandy and rum. Amrut makes brandy and rum as well as whisky, and the second-stage casks come from that production. Amrut has been run by the Jagdale family since its founding in Bengaluru in 1948.
