Why it's craft
Only ten barrels of Carter Cellars Napa Valley Cabernet went into this release, about 2,700 bottles, and Bardstown rotated them through its rickhouse for 14 months. Half the blend is a 17-year Tennessee bourbon, with a 12-year Kentucky bourbon and a 6-year Indiana rye, none distilled at Bardstown, so the whiskey is sourced. Pritzker Private Capital has owned Bardstown Bourbon Co. since 2022.
