Why it's craft
The finishing casks came from Chateau de Laubade, a French Armagnac house, and the bourbon sat in them for about 16 months. The base is a 12-year Kentucky bourbon and a 10-year Tennessee bourbon, neither from Bardstown's own stills, so the whiskey is sourced. The first release in this collaboration was named best in class among finished bourbons at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Pritzker Private Capital has owned Bardstown Bourbon Co. since 2022.
