Mash bill
A blend of several whiskeys, so no single grain split.
53% corn, 26% rye and 21% malted barley, 82% of the blend from a 7-year and a 6-year Kentucky bourbon; and 78% corn, 13% rye and 9% malted barley, 18%, from a 9-year Kentucky bourbon. The 7-year and 6-year bourbons share the first recipe.

Why it's craft
The barrels came straight from Goose Island's Bourbon County Brand Stout and were not rinsed, so the stout-soaked staves worked on the bourbon from the first day. The younger bourbons spent 12 months in them before being married with an older 9-year bourbon. None of the whiskey is Bardstown's own, so it is sourced. Pritzker Private Capital has owned Bardstown Bourbon Co. since 2022.
