Mash bill
A blend of several whiskeys, so no single grain split.
75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley, making up 73% of the blend; 78% corn, 13% rye and 9% malted barley, 21%; and 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley, 6%. The first two are Kentucky bourbons aged 13 and 10 years from distilleries Bardstown does not name, and the wheated recipe is its own six-year whiskey.

Why it's craft
Three-quarters of this blend is a 13-year Kentucky bourbon, with 10-year bourbon and a small share of Bardstown Bourbon Co.'s own six-year wheated whiskey. The Discovery Series is the company's annual blend of aged whiskey, and this one won Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Most of the whiskey comes from distilleries the company does not name, and the blend says so. Pritzker Private Capital has owned Bardstown Bourbon Co. since 2022.
