Why it's craft
Reserve is the higher-strength bottling of Belle Meade, picked from barrels averaging seven to 11 years old and bottled without chill filtration. Belle Meade is blended, not distilled, by brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson: the bourbon comes from MGP in Indiana and Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky, and the brothers hold the barrels and decide when each is ready. They created the brand while reviving their family's Nelson's Green Brier Distillery, left that company after Constellation Brands took control, and regained the Belle Meade rights at the end of 2024, relaunching it in Nashville in 2025.
