Brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson created Belle Meade Bourbon in Nashville, blending bourbon bought from other distilleries while they revived their family's Nelson's Green Brier Distillery. Constellation Brands took control of Green Brier in 2019, and the brothers later left the company. At the end of 2024 they regained the rights to Belle Meade, and they relaunched it in Nashville in 2025. The new Classic and Reserve blend high-rye bourbons bought from MGP in Indiana and Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky. The brothers do not yet have a distillery of their own for it.
