Tasting notes
- nose
- Dark baking spice and ripe stone fruit, with canned peach, caramelized sugar, caramel that borders on toffee, vanilla, seasoned oak and a hint of mint

- Vibrant pie spice that builds to red pepper and clove, with candy apple, peppermint, orange zest, spiced honey, caramel and vanilla
- finish
- Long and lingering; wintergreen, cinnamon candy and chewy caramel, with honey, allspice and a little oak

70% Kentucky-grown corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley. Twenty-one percent is a high rye share for a bourbon, and it gives the baking spice and mint that run through the whiskey.
- Cask
- New charred American oak

Why it's craft
Green River selects barrels that have aged five to seven years in its century-old Owensboro warehouses and bottles them together at 117.3 proof in the first batch. The recipe is the same as its 90-proof bourbon, so the difference in the glass is strength and barrel selection, not grain. The distillery was licensed in 1885, and Bardstown Bourbon Co. has owned it since 2022.
