Each batch starts with entirely fresh ingredients rather than spent mash from the last, which Hard Truth says lets more of the grain's flavor come through.

Why it's craft
Sweet Mash Rye was the first whiskey Hard Truth released from the sweet mash distillery it opened in Brown County in 2018, arriving in November 2021. It is bottled uncut and unfiltered at barrel strength, with the batch number, barrel count, rickhouse and dump date printed on the label. Hard Truth began distilling in 2015 above Big Woods Pizza in Nashville, Indiana, and is part of BWQOHT, Inc., the family company behind Big Woods Restaurants and Quaff ON! Brewing.
