Mash bill
- Centennial soft white spring wheat100%
100% Centennial soft white spring wheat. Centennial is an heirloom spring wheat grown for Laws by the Cody family in Colorado's high-altitude San Luis Valley. With no corn, rye or barley in the mash, the wheat carries the whiskey alone, and Laws says the variety distills into a soft, floral spirit with a bright, clean finish.
- Cask
- New 53-gallon charred oak
Why it's craft
Laws made this the first Colorado wheat whiskey to meet the Bottled in Bond Act: one season's Centennial wheat, one distiller, and seven years in the distillery's own bonded rickhouse. The wheat comes from the Cody family in the San Luis Valley, who also grow Laws' heirloom rye and barley. Al Laws founded the distillery in Denver in 2011, and it has bottled only whiskey it distilled itself.
