Why it's craft
Middle West makes this from Ohio soft red winter wheat alone, distills it in Columbus, and finishes it in Spanish oloroso sherry casks after its first aging in toasted, charred oak. The distillery, founded in 2008, distills, ages and bottles all of its spirits in Columbus, and its barrels come from Speyside Cooperage in Jackson, Ohio.
