Founded in 2008 in Columbus, Middle West Spirits grew from Ohio grain-belt roots into one of the larger independently owned mid-size distillers in the U.S. — seed selection through milling, fermenting, distilling, aging, and bottling under one roof. The Dark Pumpernickel Rye put them on the national craft radar: Americas first whiskey built around dark bran-on pumpernickel rye for softer spice and bread-forward depth. Bourbon, wheat whiskey, and Double Cask finishes round a house style that sells Ohio agriculture first.
