“An unsmoked four-malt Texas single malt built on Golden Promise and honey malt.”
Tasting notes
- nose
- crisp pear, honeysuckle and bright citrus over baking spice and oak dust
- palate
- ripe pear, honey and apple with a hint of cinnamon warmth
- finish
- medium-long; pear and honey deepen, then fade into vanilla and a dry edge of oak tannin
Mash bill
- Malted barley100%
100% malted barley from four malts, including Golden Promise and honey malt; the other two malts and the proportions are not published. The grain is sourced in Texas, and unlike the distillery's mesquite single malt this one is not smoked.
- Cask

Why it's craft
No. 2 is Ranger Creek's unsmoked counterpart to its mesquite single malt, released in September 2025 and certified as a Texas single malt by the Texas Whiskey Association. Ranger Creek, Texas's first combined brewery and distillery, mashes, distills, ages and bottles it at the San Antonio brewstillery.
