“A five-year straight rye that marries two Lawrenceburg rye recipes, one nearly all rye and one heavy with corn.”

- nose
- caramel and bright rye spice, with white pepper, mint and a note of red berries
- palate
- fruit-forward, with ripe summer fruit, caramelized sugar, vanilla and baked bread over a smoky, peppery spice
- finish
- fairly short; rye spice and pepper hold on with muted vanilla and seasoned oak, drying to a touch of leather

Why it's craft
George Ross opened the Lawrenceburg, Indiana distillery that makes Rossville Union in 1847, and by 1902 it could store 60,000 barrels of whiskey. The distillery also makes whiskey for other companies to bottle under their own names; Rossville Union is a rye it bottles itself. Master Crafted blends two of its rye recipes, and the label states the age and the number of barrels in the batch, 24 for this one.
