Why it's craft
Small Batch, launched in 2024, was Sagamore's first fully Maryland-made whiskey sold worldwide, replacing earlier ryes built on Indiana-distilled stock. Sagamore mashes and triple-distills both recipes itself in Baltimore, uses corn from Sagamore Farm for the low-rye whiskey, and bottles each 20-barrel batch by hand without chill filtration. The company was founded in 2013 and has been majority-owned by Disaronno Group (formerly Illva Saronno) since 2023.
