Why it's craft
Double Rye blends straight ryes distilled in Southern Distilling's own Statesville stills with rye bought from another distillery, then finishes the blend in bourbon barrels. The family-owned company, founded by Pete and Vienna Barger in 2013, ferments in open-top stainless steel and distills on Vendome copper pot and column stills. Sales of Double Rye support Purple Heart Home, which helps veterans.
