- finish
- medium; sticky toffee, caramelized banana, cocoa nib and mint, fading into earthy malt and lingering spice

100% malted barley. Stranahan's uses the grain of Scotch single malt but ages it the way bourbon is aged, in new charred American oak, so the malt meets the full vanilla and caramel of fresh barrels.

Why it's craft
Stranahan's was founded in Denver in 2004 by Jess Graber and George Stranahan as Colorado's first legal whiskey distillery since Prohibition, and it still mashes, distills and ages its single malt there. Blue Peak takes the house malt through a solera finish in new American oak foeders before bottling. The distillery has been owned by Proximo Spirits, part of Becle, since 2010.
