Tasting notes
- nose
- butterscotch, caramel and vanilla, with the warmth of cookies baking and raw cookie dough
- palate
- honey and dark fruit, layered with heavy baking spice
- finish
- warm oak and cocoa, with pepper lingering

- Corn70%
- Rye25%
- Malted barley5%
70% corn, 25% rye, 5% malted barley. It is the same New York-grown recipe as Taconic's flagship Dutchess Private Reserve, so the difference lies in the barrel choice and the strength.
- Cask
- New charred American oak
Why it's craft
Each bottle comes from one barrel chosen from the oldest bourbon in Taconic's warehouses, bottled at a high strength without chill filtration, so the barrel's own character is left intact. Taconic is a family-owned farm distillery in Stanfordville, opened in 2013 by Paul and Carol Ann Coughlin, that mashes, distills, ages and bottles its whiskey from New York-grown grain.
