50% unmalted barley, 50% malted barley. Talnua builds every whiskey and gin it makes on this Irish single pot still recipe, in which raw barley goes into the mash beside malted barley. The wort is separated from the grain before fermentation, and the spirit is triple distilled in copper pot stills.

Why it's craft
The continuum cask is Talnua's version of a solera: whiskey aged at least three years in new charred oak passes through two large foeders, and the one it is bottled from is topped up but never drained, so the average age inside climbs over time. Talnua, established in Arvada in 2017, makes all of its whiskey from a single pot still mash of raw and malted barley, and it mashes, ferments and triple distills that mash itself on copper pot stills.
