- Corn75%
- Rye21%
- Malted barley4%
75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley. Verdict does not distill, and it has not published which Indiana distillery made this bourbon or where the grain was grown. Verdict says the corn gives the whiskey a soft sweetness that opens into vanilla and caramel, while the rye adds gentle spice and structure.
- Cask
- New charred American white oak, medium char
- Best served
- neat, on the rocks or in a classic bourbon cocktail
Why it's craft
Guilty is the straight bourbon at the core of Verdict, a brand started in Arizona by two partners, Brandon and Jim, who set out to make the bourbon they say they could never find. Verdict does not distill: the label states that the whiskey was produced in Indiana and bottled in Frederick, Maryland, by Verdict Reserve Spirits. It carries a six-year age statement on the front label, and the brand distributes only in Arizona and Florida, along with its own online shop.
