Verdict Reserve Spirits was started in Arizona by two partners, Brandon and Jim, who say they came together over a shared love of bourbon and set out to make the bottle they could never find. The brand does not distill: its labels state that the whiskey is produced in Indiana and bottled in Frederick, Maryland, and its online shop is operated by Dragon Distillery of Frederick. Every Verdict bottle starts from the same six-year-old straight bourbon, made from 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley and aged in medium-charred American white oak barrels. Guilty is the straight bourbon, Not Guilty adds natural brown sugar flavor, and Hung Jury blends the two. All three are bottled at 90 proof and are distributed in Arizona and Florida, as well as sold through the brand's online store.
