Why it's craft
Virginia Distillery Co. mashes, distills, matures and bottles this American single malt itself in Lovingston, Virginia, double distilling malted barley on Scottish-made copper pot stills. This bottling matures in three styles of sherry cask from Jerez, Pedro Ximénez, Fino and Oloroso, and goes into the bottle at its natural color without chill filtration. The distillery was founded by Dr. George G. Moore and is still run by his family.
