Mash bill
A blend of several whiskeys, so no single grain split.
Corn, rye and malted barley, possibly with wheat and spelt; Watershed has not published the recipe or its proportions for this release. The distillery's bourbon began as a five-grain mash of corn, rye, wheat, malted barley and spelt, and Watershed now describes the bourbon in its blends and finishes as high-rye, so either recipe could sit behind this batch.

Why it's craft
This is the first release of Watershed's 2026 Fall Finishing Series, an annual set of barrel-strength bourbons finished in casks picked for autumn flavors. The Port barrels held ruby Port at Pedroncelli Winery and were built by two cooperages, Tonnellerie Vernou in Cognac and Canton in Kentucky, before Watershed filled them with its own five-year bourbon. Watershed has distilled in Columbus since it was founded in 2010; Marussia Beverages bought it in 2023 and made it the company's first American production site.
