  • Peated malted barley100%

100% peated malted barley, smoked with Scottish peat. Westland makes its Peat Week whiskeys entirely from peated malt, and for 2026 it released this single cask of Scottish-peated malt beside a sister cask made from Washington-peated malt, so the two peats could be tasted side by side.

Why it's craft

Peat Week is Westland's celebration of smoked single malt, back in 2026 for its ninth edition after a four-year break. This bottle is the Scottish side of a pair: one cask distilled from malt peated in Scotland, released with Mossfire Mason, a cask made from malt smoked with Washington peat, to show what the peat itself changes. Westland was founded in Seattle in 2010, distills its single malt there, and has been owned by Rémy Cointreau since 2017.
