Kaveh Zamanian, a psychologist, founded Rabbit Hole in 2012 to create original Kentucky recipes rather than copy classic mash bills. Its distillery in Louisville's NuLu neighborhood is a member of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Cavehill, a four-grain triple-malt bourbon of corn, malted wheat, malted barley and honey malt, put the brand on national shelves. Pernod Ricard took a majority stake in 2019 and widened distribution, and Zamanian stayed on as whiskey maker.

Owned by Pernod Ricard.
