Willett Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, is run by the Kulsveen family, now in its fifth generation. After decades of bottling whiskey it did not distill, it resumed full distillation in 2012. It distills on a column still and a doubler, and since 2012 also on a Vendome pot still. Drew Kulsveen oversees two mash bills, one high-rye and one low-rye, with barrel entry at 125 proof. Family Estate releases range from young small-batch bourbon to rare single barrels, with the proof set batch by batch.
