Midleton Distillery in County Cork traces to the Murphy family's founding in 1825. It is the production home of Irish Distillers, owned by Pernod Ricard, and makes Jameson, Redbreast, Powers, the Spot whiskeys and Midleton Very Rare. The modern plant opened in 1975 beside the preserved Old Midleton Distillery, which is now a visitor experience. Its copper pot stills make single pot still whiskey from malted and unmalted barley at industrial scale. A deep sherry and bourbon cask program made Redbreast the world's best-known single pot still Irish whiskey.

Owned by Irish Distillers / Pernod Ricard.
