The Meyer-Grelli family opened Wigle in Pittsburgh's Strip District in 2012, the first distillery inside the city since Prohibition. They had helped push through Pennsylvania's limited-distillery law, which lets craft producers sell on site. Named for Whiskey Rebellion figure Philip Wigle, the house mills regional grain and distills on German copper pot stills, with rye at the center in the Pennsylvania tradition. Pittsburgh Spirits, owned by the Nutting family, bought Wigle in 2022. The Strip District site has the distillery, a kitchen and Saturday tours.

Owned by Pittsburgh Spirits (Nutting family).
