Brothers Andy and Charlie Nelson revived their ancestor Charles Nelson's Green Brier Distillery in Nashville. While their own Tennessee whiskey matured, they first sold Belle Meade, a sourced high-rye bourbon. Constellation Brands took a minority stake in 2016 and majority control in 2019, and has owned the distillery outright since October 2024. At the end of 2024 the brothers took Belle Meade Bourbon with them.
